How are land lease prices calculated? Aegis Isles land lease prices are based on a three-month rolling average of Linden Labs land sale prices. Prices for unsold parcels are recalculated each month as Linden Labs releases new economic data and the rolling average is adjusted. In practice, this means that Aegis Island lease prices are approximately six weeks behind today's purchase prices. That said, we reserve the right to price 'em any way we like. What if I want a larger parcel than is listed? Aegis Isles parcel maps are designed in a modular fashion so that larger, yet still usable, lots can be developed. Tier pricing is per multiple of 1024m2, so figuring out your tier cost for multiple parcels is simple geometry/math. Your first month's tier is due within 24 hours of initial lease. A payment box will be set up by an Aegis Isles representative in a location of your choosing on your parcel. Second, since ultimate responsibility for island tier payments to Linden Labs belongs solely to Aegis Isles, we feel it is a misrepresentation to call the transaction a land 'purchase'. Like an automobile lease, your initial down payment allows you the utilize the land for a period of time. In this case the period is open-ended for as long as you continue to pay your tier fees. |
